Your chauffeur is heading to Soljans Winery Estate, where you'll enjoy wine tasting and lunch. Soljans Estate Winery has been family-owned for three generations since 1937, making it the third oldest family-run winery that is still family-owned and produces a range of whites, reds, sparkling and of course their famous port.
After the wine tasting experience, you have lunch at The Bistro restaurant at Soljans, where their chef showcases fresh local produce to create an ever-changing seasonal menu. Your lunch also includes a glass of wine.
After your lunch at the Bistro, a short drive takes you to the next winery estate of Kumeu River. Kumeu River Estate is one of the best wineries in New Zealand, famed for making wines that are widely acknowledged as world-class. Set up by the Brajkovich family in the 1940s, all of their grapes are hand-harvested, and the family still runs the winery. Kumeu River is world famous for its Chardonnay and also produces a range of other wines.
Your next stop is the West Brook Winery estate. The West Brook cellar door looks across a beautiful pond and terraced picnic area to row after row of grape vines. Their wines reflect their unique regional origins and are produced by one of New Zealand’s leading wine makers. West Brook wines are of premium quality and have won numerous awards. Westbrook is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most respected boutique wineries. Their skilled winemaker, James Rowan, combines time-honoured traditional and innovative techniques to produce hand-crafted, multi-award-winning wines, including outstanding Chardonnays and Rieslings.
After visiting three wineries, your next stop is Muriwai Beach, which is one of the region’s special places. We make a stop to get amazing views along the coast. Muriwai Beach is a black sand beach in New Zealand, featuring crashing surf and panoramic views. It is also home to the world’s largest seabirds in their natural environment, and visitors can see them from September to April.
