Explore the central museums and galleries on foot, or get out onto the water to experience the city's best views.
Our first-day city-and-countryside trip starts from your hotel accommodation.
City Sightseeing:
Visit Mission Bay Beach Soak up the stunning views of Auckland Harbour coastline flanked by our native pohutukawa trees.
Visit Mount Eden Travel to Auckland's highest point (196 metres) for spectacular 360-degree views. This is one of 56 extinct volcanoes in Auckland, and it boasts one of the largest volcanic craters in the city.
Visit Auckland Domain, Park Road, Auckland Central We visit the two stunning Wintergardens, the two enormous glasshouses, and the Fernery, where guests can see and touch our most famous "silver fern “.
Visit Skycity Tower to view the Auckland city views and visit the All Blacks Experience Centre. See what it takes to make, shape and be an All-Black. Experience first-hand the excitement and emotion of game day. Discover the stories behind some of world rugby’s most famous players, moments and matches.
Visit Devonport, North Shore, Auckland This quaint little township, often described as similar to Sausilito, is the oldest suburb on Auckland's North Shore. Picturesque streets are home to over 5,000 old wooden villas.
Stop At North Head Historic Reserve, Takarunga Rd. Devonport We are stepping into history. It is an underground "mini-city" with a labyrinth of tunnels, some of which we journey into. We walk around this volcano (flat walk) with simply spectacular 360-degree views of Auckland.
Drive to Auckland's countryside and famous beaches.
Stop At Solijans Estate Winery, 366 State Highway 16, Kumeu, Auckland New Zealand is renowned for wine, and we journey into the wine-growing district of West Auckland and stop to do some wine-tasting (optional trip)
We enter the countryside of West Auckland, where guests will see farms and livestock, marvel at the lush green pasture and drive to Muriwai Beach.
You will be back at the Auckland Hotel accommodation after your day trip

Day 2: Auckland to Rotorua
Hamilton Garden, Waitomo Caves, Putaruru Blue Spring, Te Puia Rotorua
Depart from Auckland and first visit Hamilton Gardens before heading to Waitomo Caves.
Hamilton Gardens is a public garden park in the south of Hamilton, owned and managed by the Hamilton City Council in New Zealand. The 54-hectare park is based on the banks of the Waikato River and includes enclosed gardens, open lawns, a lake, a nursery, and a convention centre.
Hamilton Garden to Waitomo Caves
Travel from Hamilton and visit Waitomo Caves on the way to Rotorua. You will enjoy a guided tour of the world-renowned Waitomo Glow Worm Caves.
Waitomo Caves to Rotorua
Depart from Waitomo Caves to Rotorua. This tour covers the most iconic destinations on the Northern island. You will visit Rotorua, famous for its thermal activity, rich Maori heritage, and the geothermal wonderland of Te Puia.
On the Way to Rotorua, a short visit to Putaruru Blue Spring Colours breathes life into our surroundings and imparts depth into our perceptions. If you’re looking to experience a beautiful and uniquely Kiwi attraction, then Blue Spring might be just what you’re after.
This evening, Visit Te Po Evening Maori Cultural Experience, Including Dinner
New Zealand’s Most Awarded Cultural Attraction, presenting Te Po at Te Puia. Feast on song, drama, tradition, and dinner.
Te Po Combo offers fully guided experiences to enrich your visit to the historical geothermal valley. Explore the fantastic landscape of native bush, geysers, and mud pools, and feel the natural power of Pohutu Geyser, the largest geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and Ahua Gallery.
After working up an appetite, enjoy a mouth-watering buffet at the world-famous Pataka Kai Restaurant & Bar, followed by an exhilarating cultural performance, and then, if you want more, head back down into the geothermal wonderland featuring the world-famous Pohutu Geyser.
This experience lasts approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes and is suitable for all ages.

Your tour starts after breakfast at the hotel and travels to Wai-o-Tapu before going to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, where you can experience the full might and majesty of this unique and spectacular volcanic landscape. Then, continue to Huka Falls and Lake Taupo before returning to Rotorua Redwood Forest Tree Night walk

Day 4: Rotorua to Hobbiton, Auckland
Hobbiton Movie Set Tours
Depart Rotorua to Auckland after breakfast, visit Hobbiton
Take a journey from Rotorua to the famous Hobbiton Movie Set, located inside a picturesque 1,250-acre sheep and beef farm near Matamata. Here, you can take a guided tour of the village of Hobbiton, meticulously recreated in incredible detail as a film set for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movie trilogies. During your guided tour of this fantastic location, you’ll see sights like Hobbit holes, the Mill, and the Green Dragon Inn, and you'll learn how farmland was transformed into a living, breathing piece of Middle-earth. After exploring Hobbiton, we returned to Auckland.

Day 5: Auckland to Coromandel and Auckland
Auckland to Coromandel trip starts after breakfast.
Highlight of the tour: Cathedral Cove boat ride and Hotwater Beach Experience
Explore the stunning Coromandel Peninsula, where golden beaches, natural hot springs, and lush rainforests create the perfect escape. Cruise along the coastline on a scenic boat tour to Cathedral Cove, discovering spectacular sea caves and iconic Narnia film locations. Relax at Hot Water Beach, where you can dig your own thermal spa pool right on the sand.
You will experience a scenic private tour from Auckland to the breathtaking Coromandel Peninsula, and cruise through stunning coastal landscapes on an adventure boat trip to Cathedral Cove, where you can explore hidden sea caves and witness the spectacular underground blowhole.
Relax at Hot Water Beach, dig your own natural spa pool in the sand, and enjoy sunbathing, swimming, or soaking up the stunning views of Hahei Beach.
